5-Frame Nucleus (Nuc) Colony Spring 2025

Our nucs are raised right here in Northern Utah from Carniolan and Italian stock that have proven to be productive, healthy, gentle, and able to survive our winters.

What's included in your nuc package 

An established 5-frame colony on five deep frames (19” x 9-1/8”) housed in a plastic or a wax-coated cardboard NUC box for easy transportation and transfer.  This colony contains:

• A healthy, laying 2025 marked queen   
• 2-3 frames of brood of various ages
• 1-2 frames of food (nectar, honey, pollen)
• 1 frame in progress

Pick-up Details:

• Nucs will be ready for pickup on a Saturday morning between the end of April and the middle of May, depending on weather conditions and how fast the nucs grow.
• We will notify you with the specific date and time for pickup once your nuc is ready.
• This hive will be growing rapidly, so you'll want to install them into your full-size hive equipment right away.

Cancellations:

A 50% fee will apply for any nuc order cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled pickup date.
